Information we process

Depending on how you use the service, we may process account information, authentication information, submitted links, download request metadata, quota usage, subscription status, support messages, device identifiers, browser storage values, logs, and analytics events.

When you use the browser extension, media detection and download workflows are designed to run from the browser context needed for the user-facing feature. The extension should not ask for your Telegram password or Telegram API credentials.

Google user data

Signing in with Google is optional; you can also sign in with an email verification code. When you choose Google sign-in on the website, browser extension, or Android app, we request only the basic openid, email, and profile scopes. We do not request access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar, or any other Google service data.

• Data we receive: your verified email address, your name, your profile picture URL, and the Google account identifier included in the signed sign-in token. The Google account identifier is used only to verify the sign-in and is not stored.
• How we use it: to create or sign in to your TG Downloader account, show which account is signed in, connect your Credits, quota, and subscription to that account across the website, browser extension, and Android app, and respond to support requests about your account.
• What we store: your email address, name, and profile picture URL are stored in your TG Downloader account record on our servers. Google sign-in tokens are used only to verify the sign-in and are not stored. We do not use Google data to access any other Google service on your behalf.
• Sharing: we do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or transfer it to data brokers. It is shared only with infrastructure providers that host our service on our behalf, or when required by law.
• AI and model training: we do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
• Retention and deletion: we keep this data while your account exists. To delete your account and the Google data stored with it, email us from the account email address; we delete it after verifying the request, except records we must keep for legal, payment, or fraud-prevention reasons. You can also remove TG Downloader's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

TG Downloader's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. The browser extension also complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy.

The TG Video Player iOS app does not use Google sign-in.
